Where to travel in June?

We believe that there is no need to convince you about the advantages of picking up your suitcase in June and launching yourself into the world. If you think about it just a little, this month kicks off summer, so you have at your fingertips beach destinations where you can bask in the sun while enjoying music festivals or parties of all kinds that will prevent you from remembering what is boredom. Break with the routine and take a well-deserved vacation in June with the destinations that KraftMyTrip recommends.

Due to the current situation due to Covid-19, not all destinations on our list will be accessible without restrictions. Take into account the current entry regulations of each country.

Fuerteventura

Fuerteventura boasts more than 150 beaches of golden, white or black sand, always bathed by an impressive blue-green sea. In June you can enjoy them at your own pace, as the island of Majorera wraps you in luxurious temperatures, much more pleasant than those of midsummer. Forget about stress on the beaches of Sotavento, Barlovento and Corralejo, and practice your favourite water sports in Caleta de Fuste, where leisure and fun are guaranteed for all tastes. Mix beaches and hiking with the historical and cultural environment of Betancuria, and you will live a spectacular vacation.

Ibiza

June is the perfect month to savour Ibiza to your heart's content. La Pitiusa awaits you radiant on its beaches such as the wonderful Cala Conta, in Playas de Comte. It invites you to browse at the nightly hippie market of Las Dalias and sets you a table by the sea, in its various restaurants with terraces where they serve delicious dishes. If you're into nightlife, you'll be delighted to know that Ibiza's great clubs open at the end of May. And if you spend San Juan in Ibiza, you will be enchanted by the celebrations and the bonfires on beaches such as Talamanca or Figueretas.

Lanzarote

In June Lanzarote, the colourful island of volcanoes unfolds its beauty in a special way. The prelude to the outbreak of summer is ideal to enjoy the attractions and paradisiacal coasts of Playa Blanca, Famara or Papagayo. Appreciate the wonderful work of César Manrique and nature in the Jameos del Agua, the Cueva de los Verdes and the Cactus Garden. And, of course, get excited when exploring the Timanfaya National Park and the Charco Verde de Los Clicos which, together with water sports, offer a few days in Lanzarote that are as active as they are unforgettable.

Golden Coast

The Costa Dorada or Costa Daurada, in Catalan, is the shore of Tarragona, a Mediterranean paradise of blue waters, golden sand beaches sheltered by green pine forests, beautiful villages and an offer of outdoor sports for all tastes. Its archaeological treasures are also amazing, such as the aqueduct of Pont de Les Ferreres and the Roman amphitheatre. If you are looking for relaxation, you will love the seaside atmosphere of Torredembarra or Altafulla and, when you prefer beach nightlife, head to Salou, El Vendrell or Cambrils. If you want fun for everyone, there are Port Aventura and Ferrari Land.

Mallorca

The climate of Mallorca in June is ideal to fully enjoy the light, the colour and the good vibrations of the island, which naturally recharge you with energy. Let your feet go through Palma or pedal with views of the Mediterranean, to later savour a coffee on the beautiful terraces of the place. Idyllic beaches and luxurious natural spaces join an impressive festive calendar in June. Feel the Mallorcan essence at Nit de Sant Joan and enjoy the flower, potato and herb fairs, always cheerful and interesting.

European destinations

Santorini

The colours of the Mediterranean framing the sublime island of Santorini give a spectacle of unreal beauty. June is a warm month in this fabulous destination, and it guarantees you the chance to swim comfortably in the waters of the caldera. In the beautiful town of Oia, you can see the best sunsets in the world, in Fira, you can see ancient architectural testimonies, the Red Beach looks like a Martian stage and the panoramic views from Imerovigli are simply stunning. If nightlife appeals to you, head to Santorini at the end of June when discos and clubs kick off the summer season.

Madeira

Anticipate summer and program a few days in June in Madeira, to enjoy this island full of joy at your leisure. Madeira is full of life, music and colour. You will be surprised by the "June gloom" phenomenon, clouds that, most likely, you are grateful for to mitigate the heat of the sun, and do not trigger rain. Throughout the month there are festivals and events, such as the Machico Medieval Market, the Cherry Festival in Cámara de Lobos and the Festa dos Altares de São João, in the centre of Funchal, which takes place from June 15 to 24.

Sardinia

In June Sardinia enjoys 9 hours of sunshine a day, perfect for enjoying beaches, nature and unique cities. From the monumental capital, Cagliari, to the surroundings of the Costa Smeralda, with its beaches and coves of white sand and emerald and blue waters, the island is the favourite vacation destination of multiple celebrities. In front of the Costa Smeralda is the La Maddalena National Park, more than 60 islands that shelter paradisiacal coasts. Among many other attractions, the Neptuno and Bue Marino caves stand out, as fascinating underground settings bathed by the sea.

Malta

As old as fascinating. This small Mediterranean country contains stories of sieges, pirates and medieval battles that must be known. Moreover, the origin of its great city, Valletta, is found in a fortress designed to repel invaders who came from Africa. But in Malta, there is much more than history. For example, its beaches are incredibly beautiful. The Gozo area, for example, or the Sliema area are some of the best known by all those bathers who take to this corner of the Mediterranean hoping for turquoise waters in which to forget all their problems.

Getaways outside of Europe

Dominican Republic

Beaches that are an earthly paradise with turquoise waters, fine white sand and coconut palms are the tourist images of the Dominican Republic. And rest assured that they are more dazzling live. June is a great month to enjoy them and to practise surfing, windsurfing, golf, 4x4 outings on the sand and unite sunsets with sunrises in discos and nightclubs. Visits to the monumental area of ??Santo Domingo, the capital, the eco-park Scape Park and the Samaná Bay, where whales, manatees and turtles can be seen, are also highly recommended.

Cuba

If they tell you that it rains in June, do not take it into account, since the storms in Cuba form suddenly, fall hard and disappear. Then you will have clean and fresh air to enjoy magnificent beaches, walk along the Malecón and lose yourself in the old streets of Havana. Get closer to the exuberant nature of the province of Pinar del Río, to get to know the tobacco plantations and the traditional Cuban peasant life. There, throw yourself into ecotourism and hiking through the Viñales valley, where the mogotes full of remote fugitive stories shine.

Dubai

June is an amazing month to visit Dubai. There are 12 hours of sunshine a day and the temperatures are more pleasant than in the summer. The cosmopolitan oasis emerges from the desert and dazzles with its luxurious identity, which is expressed in the Burj Khalifa, the fountain of water, music and colour shows or the amazing Dubai Mall. Visit the gold, perfume and spice souks of Deira, the network of alleys of Al Bastakiya, the Dubai Frame Museum, the Dubai Marina and the Ain Dubai Ferris wheel, to enjoy the Palm Jumeirah from above.

Cancun

Cancun in June is quite sunny and invites you to spend excellent days at the beach. When it rains you can enjoy activities and walks in shopping malls, art galleries and craft fairs. Among the most attractive beaches, Playa Delfines stands out, where the large letters of CANCÚN are located. It is perfect for surfing, while Playa Tortugas is recommended for all kinds of water sports and, of course, to experience the parties that are usually held there. In addition, in June it is already possible to take excursions to swim with whale sharks, an exciting activity.
